Yes. Yes, yes, yes, to all of this. I had a similar situation I wrote about here on Medium, but with an adult dog. I tried for six full months with her, did everything I knew how to do, but the situation simply became too dangerous and too emotionally exhausting to carry on.

I have gotten a lot of angry comments on that story, but I just have to remember that they don’t know. They just don’t know what I went through.
