One thing that has really helped me with both my time management and my energy is embracing the idea that I get to choose. I have a certain number of hours in a day, and I choose how I spend them.

This seems straightforward, but for me it was important to remember that even those things I didn't enjoy were still things I was choosing, because in some way they supported one of my values.

For example, instead of being harried and irritated when I picked up my son to take him to robotics, I reminded myself, "Robotics makes your son happy. You want him to be happy. You get to offer this time to him to help him follow his passions."

When I reframe in that way, my to-do list becomes a "get-to-do" list and I feel much more energized by how I spend my time, rather than frustrated that I don't ever have enough time.

Thanks for these great insights! Off to write down my list of energy-givers and energy-drainers right now...
